We are developing an app called Access Navigator with the RERC on AAC to help clinicians complete alternative access evaluations. We now have a working app, and we really need people to try it out. Please consider participating in our evaluation study for Access Navigator and read on to learn more.
Access Navigator app
Access Navigator helps practitioners and individuals with severe motor impairments identify efficient, accurate, and desired access methods, for devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones. You can read more background info about Access Navigator and learn about how we involved users in designing it.
Evaluation study for Access Navigator
During the study, we’ll send you a link to the app for you and your client to complete a mock access evaluation. Afterward, we will ask you both about your experiences. The study can be completed remotely via Zoom, or in-person if you happen to be located near Omaha, Nebraska.
Eligibility
Clinicians: those who work in settings where they have experience prescribing access devices for individuals with severe motor impairments
Clients: children and adults who have a motor impairment that requires the use of an alternative access method, such as a modified keyboard, a head-controlled device, an ability switch, etc.
